burned through my paint..

So about 2 hours ago as i was using my da orbital polisher my Neighbor across the street told me he had a new flex polisher if i needed to remove any scratches so as i got to talking i agreed to let him try it on a scratch i had one the roof. The scratch was about 3 inches long on the drivers side right above the rear door. So we get started and all seems well, scratch starts coming out, and we keep stopping to check to see the progress. We almost get it out and my wife calls me in to help with my son, so i go inside for literally two mintues and when i come back out, my neighbor is standing there shaking his head, i ask him whats wrong? And he says " i think i burned through your paint man" , i say "WHAT!?!" And walk over and sure enough, this guy burned a 3 inch circle into my roof. I just looked at him and he said "im sorry man, my brother in law works at a paint shop.." and i go " wtf, im going to a meet on Thursday ". Well we made plans to have it fixed next week at the maaco that his brother in law works at, as for Louisville, im going to have burnt paint. Unbelievable guys, all day working on it...

Maaco has top notch paint booths, due to buying power. Most small shop can not afford to spent the money for a top notch paint booth. It's prep work, that were most Maaco's take short cuts.
