I Googled a bit and found this

http://www.carbodyparts.net/2004-mercury-marauder/hood_insulation-m71hi3.html

It specifies 2004 Marauder, then reads universal, fits any vehicle??

Mine is dirty and starting to fall apart around the edges. Anyone have a source for the insulation pad?

Thanks.

The insulator should be the same as a CV or GM.

Other options:

http://www.carmotorsports.com/Underhood%20Insulators.htm

I like these. Plan to get one soon.......

Get one from the dealer Pete. They're not very expensive.

I got one from the stealership but it doesnt' have the hole for the underhood light. They said there were a series of over-riding part numbers. Which is the part number with the hole for the underhood light? :-(

You need to cut the liner.

OK. I'm not so handy with the crafty stuff so I'm afraid mine will look ghetto if I cut it myself. lol

March it up with the old one and use a razor blade to cut the hole.

There isn't one on my insulator. Since you'll be removing the old one, its easy to match the hole up and cut the new insulator.

Some tips:
Get some flat black spray paint and heavily spray both sides on the new one. Will help keep it "together" longer.
Get new push pins. Get ones for a general motors. They are larger and hold better.

I reached out to this guy last fall, he had designed a new liner for me.
Last time we spoke he was in a deep battle with cancer..

Really nice young guy...
