Goal:
I have Audiophile 6 CD/MP3 head unit and keping it for stock interface and looks.
I want better speakers first off - they sound like weak link.
I wont need much more volume or bass to be happy, just clarity and a little more umph.
I've read pages of various component swaps, but I'm stereo retarded - need to be spoon fed.
Anyone have 4 better than stock door speakers and maybe a sub they will sell at reduced cost from new?
thanks

I have the Ford Audiophile head with Pioneer TS-A6881R speakers and Infinity baselink sub upgrade. Very happy with this set up.

Just upgrading the stock speakers makes a huge difference.

than that's likely all I'll need. Just a +1 mod, not looking for boom box crap.

I read much about the Basslink, looks nice. Maybe after new speakers as budget allows...

Yeah, hold off then. Also, my basslink conflicts with the spare tire. If I realized that before and was willing to live with it, I'd have gone with a better arrangement for better bass.
I read somewhere, here or on Motor City, where an upgraded speaker was added to the sub enclosure.... I'm not sure of the results...
Did you remove the rear deck insulation that covers the sub? That made a big difference when I bought mine new.

After a full speaker swap, I'll try this because the cost, thanks;)

I have one of those sitting on the floor in my shop, won't fit in my intended target vehicle since I put a slide out in the back of the vehicle. PM if you want to own it.

Infinity reference 2 ways are pretty cheap and sound great. If you want a little more bang get the components for up front. Its worth what you spend.
