Entered a local Car Show held at a Dealer. With a forecast of rain there was a light turn out.
The Marauder attracted attention including several who said they wanted one!

No, but I was the only Marauder!

It is a fund raiser for retarded Children. With the weather I knew they would have a light turn out so I went.

Being a daily driver it does not bother me if she gets wet and dirty!:D

I have an association with ARC a/k/a Association for Retarded Citizens.

http://www.thearc.org/who-we-are/history

We went back in after Katrina to retrieve ARC's servers so they could make payroll and contact their "clients". Over 150 "mentally handicapped" people got paid, contacted and many were put back to work.

As reported to ARC;

"I thought you should know that Tom who works at the ARC ( brother in law), Paul ( Tom's younger brother who had a house in Slidell but just bought one in Algiers), Dawn ( Paul's girl friend who is from Luling but just bought a house in Algiers ) and I went into Algiers and Jefferson.

We took Robin's ( the wife) E150 traveler van, I was the Civil Defense Director. Paul was the Arms Specialists, Tom was the Superman and Dawn was the local Intelligence contact.

We stopped by the ARC's office at Labarre Rd, we knew from the Sat Photos that it was flooded. We discussed different approaches even Earhart but we would have to drive the wrong way down Earhart to get back.

We went to Airline and Causeway. Tom got out to ask the National Guard check point if we could try to go around the business back road and they agreed to let us thru. We got close to the underside of the over pass on a gravel one lane road that was blocked by water at the over pass.

Chinooks were flying over head. We prepped Tom with my multi tool, tennis shoes around his neck and boots. I warned him that he would not be able to swim with the boots if he got in a hole to kick them off and put the tennis shoes on.

Tom waded in chest high water, got to his office and came back with a computer on his shoulder. We then discussed getting closer via the van for the 2nd computer but we nixed it and Tom went back in. This time some contractors with a canoe who showed up, after Tom had gone a block in the chest high water, to check their businesses and picked Tom up and dropped him at his office.

Tom came back with the second computer over his shoulder after wading back thru the chest high water. Got interviewed & photo by the Boston Globe. He then wanted to go back in for the key board and monitor. I told him it was not worth it, that I would give him my monitor and key board that was at my house, the next stop. He resisted so I agreed to throw in the printer as a managers Labor day special!

I made him decontaminate with soap and squirted him with bottled water, but he would not let me throw his wet clothes away! I told him he had better let me decontaminate him if he ever wants my sister, Lynne to touch him again!

Just wanted you to know what lengths were taken by Tom Superman ARC."
