I wanted to hear from people who got the stage 3 kit from dennis.since that may be(99.9%) what i am pursuing to purchase. i would like to know the numbers this kit produce's and also everyday usage like driving around town or driving on the highway at long periods and are there any other addons that may be needed .Any information would be greatfuly appreciated!!

Stage 3 kit = Vortex s/c w/ accs , trans 2 upgrade , mmds , gauges , fuel filter upgrade , trans cooler and dyno.so far unless there something i am missing..

If oyu are going to the track you will need bigger tires and wider rims on the back.

Yeah...to begin with ..it appears your missing stage 1 and 2....you need that prior to 3..at least the exhaust for sure.......unless I missed something.....and most S/C'ers will not mentioned their MPG--cause we really don't have any... but somewhere in the 15 for city 20 on the road @ 70MPH.... playing in town--well depends on the foot --but probably between 10-12.....but whose counting with this much fun..........

What do you mean "we?" I didn't know you were running a poll, Tom.

City/Fun = 17-19 MPG

Highway/Travel = 22-24 MPG

Help you any?

Yeah, I've always been extremely jealous that Sarge has so much more power than I have, but his highway mileage beats me by a couple of MPG. NOT FAIR!!!!! :mad2: :bigcry:

Hey Mac--- The "we" is because no matter what numbers "we" post, it's all relative due to the different style of fun we practice..so no matter wheather we post or not , it's not really a mark to be judged against a not S/C car..you agree?

I apoligise if S/C'ers think I am speaking for all S/C'ers...I'm not, nor did I mean to be taken that way--just a reference that S/C cars can get bad, good and even great mileage , depending on obvious factors, but any likely compairson to maybe non -S/C cars would be an unfair compairson...
........oh phooey....just forget it--I, like you , wouldn't want this to get out of hand by any small misunderstanding ...it's not that big a deal......Tom

Well, I guess...I think I got your point, Tom. I agree that it's not something to make a big deal about.

I look at it this way...Among the centrifugal style supercharged MMs, a fair prediction of MPG is possible. The beauty of the Vortech is that it's not "on" until you get into the throttle. I can cruise the highways at 24 MPG because the car is finely tuned with enough power to move the car along nicely. I am pleased with my city/fun MPG for the same reasons, and I agree that the car inspires one to enjoy it's power, which is not going to help your gas mileage. A little discipline, and you can get the same, if not better MPG figures over a bone stock MM, because of it's fine tuning. S/C aside, all the mods we add to the MM that result in more power at the rear wheels, also serve to reduce fuel consumption under normal driving conditions, because the engine is working less and producing more. Adding a S/C just makes it all better.

Thanks--I always like your way with words and am glad we're in the same "thought" on this...yours being better spoken than mine--but just the same--- what all need to realize is that we all drive differently and with ANY added mods we are certainly more likely to have fun with it(them) and thus MPG becomes a mute point ...except for stockers only...yes...your right .."we" can sustain a very good MPG, if we choose...and like you....I too good get better MPG ..if I choose....I think we're back to where you came in....so Thanks...It's always great reading you in-put.........Tom...
