Well gang...its time. As of June 2014 I will have had my Marauder for 10 years.

Its time to part with her. She's been garaged for the last 6 months...I don't drive her much (3K per year) and I need her to go to someone who will pay a bit more attention to her!

2004 Silver Birch Mercury Marauder with dark interior

43K miles (original)

Purchased June 2004 from a fellow MM member in San Diego

Trilogy #48 installed by Alternative Automotive in Fall 2004

This car won the 2004 SSHS4 in Atlanta...1st place. Southern Super Heavy Shootout (Impala Club Get-Together). Won my class basically.

2.8 inch pulley, 13 psi (installed and retuned by Lidio)
448 rwhp, 452 rwt...but hasn't been tested in a few years

Upgraded tranny pan/rear dif cover
aluminum drive shaft
4.10 gears
PI Torque Converter
tinted windows / rear spoiler
Kooks headers w/ Custom X-Pipe and Magnaflow Exhaust
Alpine stereo, custom sub/amp install with 12 disc changer
This could use an upgrade...no USB connections...FYI

Valentine One radar detector (hard wired..and will stay with the car)

I have a set of new floor mats also that will go with the car.

There are a few things wrong with the vehicle...but they are minor.

The backlit light for the passenger side heated seat control blinks and needs to be replaced. There are a few other very minor things but I can talk about them with anyone interested.

Price: I'm at $15,000 now but can be persuaded a bit lower depending on a few things...she needs new tires, etc.

If you're looking for a nearly flawless supercharged Marauder with 450rwhp, already upgraded with just about everything there is...this is your car.

I had the engine rebuilt in 2006 after I bent 2 pistons...she's now got Diamond Pistons and I had the crankshaft coated. No issues since and she' runs better than ever. The exhaust sound is what I get the most compliments on.

Already got a couple of questions:

This car has never seen a winter. Its been garaged during ANY snow. Usually from November to April/May. I have not driven her since late September of last year. This has been an unusually long hibernation for her :)


I will get some photographs taken and posted by noon tomorrow. I'm off work tomorrow and am going to be pulling her out of the garage.

I was pretty interested until I read that you "bent" 2 pistons and the engine has been rebuilt!!:o

How do you bend pistons and who rebuilt it??:confused:

I was drag racing....just one of those things. Maxed out on RPM's at the shift point and when she shifted it went to shift back down and two bent. It was rebuilt here in my town by an expert. The guy died a couple years ago of cancer at age 49...but when I did it I did it right. I went with Diamond brand pistons and I had the crankshaft nitrite treated. I also had the front cover powder coated black.

When I bent the pistons and it needed a rebuild I talked to Lidio and he suggested Diamond Pistons. Its rock solid...and its been 8 years since the rebuild. I'd be worried to if it was recent...but its not.

I also had it retuned by Lidio after the rebuild.
It runs as good today as she did after the rebuild. I haven't raced it in a few years. The engine rebuild was in 2006 with about 25K on the odometer.

Man, if I could turn back time and had the cash - this would be the one.
I'll have thousands more into mine, without the rebuilt engine. I'm suprised the rods we not upgraded during the build, could have added even more boost!:eek:

Yes...everything was redone, its much stronger than it was ever in stock condition.

It was all Diamond Brand. I even remember the box it was delivered in. Its been 8 years and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Its still for sale but there is a sale pending. I have an offer out to a MM.net member as he was a bit low but we came to an agreement.

He has until Thursday morning to respond...so we'll see. If he does it sold.

If not it still up for grabs. I've come down a bit on the price with certain conditions. If they're met its sold.

He has the check and title is on the way to me and then it will be transported to Mo's speed shop for some tuning updates from chip style to SCT handheld, etc. 91 to 93 octane....My centri Marauder wil be for sale at some point, but I have some other matters to attend to at first befoer that will happen..Prolly wait till i bring the other one home
