I havent even had it a month and it driving me nuts...so the dome light decided to stay on all night in relation the the rear drivers door switch... disconnected problem resolved until i buy a new switch. Why ford....why do you make access to headlights impossible. Why must i un bolt so much to get the assembly out.. anyway...hid kit doesnt have the right connections. I guess that what i deserve for buyin on ebay. BUT i atleast put my marauder plate on the front and it looks good!

It was mostly the design that makes me mad. I had two black knobs to unscrew on my last car and bam..the whole thing was out. Few snaps and viola...blinding headlights.
As for the dome light... i didnt expect to look outside in the middle of the night and see my light on because the wind blew... i thought my car was getting jacked! I grabbed the heater ready to light someone up. Lol.

What's the issues with removing the headlights? I pop the one out at the track in less than 30 seconds! Magnet for the bottom bolt is your friend! You'd probably faint if I told you some of the issues I've had over the years on this experimental ginny Marauder!!

The entire overhead was lit up like the 4th of july. The switch in the drivers rear door is bad or sticking but the car was parked...for several hours and no light was on and then at 2 am its on and wouldnt go off . Then driving to work it turned on randomly and went back out randomly. Switch is completly disconnected now.

Magnet??? You don't need no stinkin' magnet!
You just need a small easy to do modification.

I had to loosen the parking light to get the headlight out. I was trying not to pull too hard on the assembly. Still scuffed my bumper. And i did need a magnet when i dropped one of those clips... ( again engineers need throat punched for that) i did think the cap design was slick.

My first kit was those.. lasted a year before a ballast went bad. Second kit thats still in my lesabre was fine, no issues. This kit is from so-cal led lighting. The actual kit is "O-nex" they are 35w slim ac ballasts. Says "assembled in japan" .

A relatively newer, ~09 chevy malibu requires you to remove the whole front bumper and grille to replace a headlight. Get over having to remove 3 screws to get to your bulbs on the Marauder.

I do not support cheap HID's for my rides, however I have bought XENTEC branded HID's from a specific ebay seller for 8+ years with minimal issues. Always honors a replacement when I have had one...
for a single beam kit with metal ballasts I pay $28.99...
I currently only use mishimoto from the retrofit source on my own vehicles however.

Thats a good idea slotting the headlights! I guess I would if I planned on removing them more often. Otherwise I prefer the method of dropping one of the three bolts down in the front bumper cussing and swearing for 10 minutes trying to find it. :)
