Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a Black 2003 Marauder with 36k on it last week. The car is now on it's second owner and thankfully it has always been garage kept and will continue to be so.

We ( My elderly father and I ) had to make an 80 mile trek within N.C. to buy this car. I had found it on Craigs List and was astonished at the low mileage and reasonable price. I called the owner the night before to arrange a meeting time , and as they say , The rest is history.

The car only had a couple of minor defects. The back lighting on the Volt Meter was out. The turn signal would not cancel out and return to the nuetral position after completing a turn. Lastly , the compressor for the Air Ride System was shot. I was amazed that so little mileage killed it , but it is what it is.

I took my car to my buds at the Ford Dealership around the corner so WE could inspect the Air Bags , Manually inflate them to assure it was only the Compressor being faulty. Once that was accomplished , I was on the old Cell Phone to order a correct Compressor from SunCore...talk about quick customer service at a reasonable price. I'm very pleased with them thus far.

I'm looking forward to many years of ownership with this car. I was a fan from way prior to it's release. I still have the fold out brochures that the Mercury Division mailed me back in 2002 for this car.

I'm an old school Ford Guy from way back. I've been involved with other Ford related sights in the past , but have mostly elected to stay "Off the Net" based on past dealings and seemingly childish bahavior taking place within them. I'm confident I've found a good group of people to associate with here.

By the way...I'm a believer that the newest of cars doesn't always begin to solve all of lifes little problems....finding what makes you happy tends to make them tolerable.

Best Wishes from Race City USA ( Charlotte N.C. ) :banana2:

This week (Thursday through Sunday) many of my Mustang Club members will be at the Motor Speedway in Charlotte. I shipped the Mustangs and will be driving the '04 Silver Birch Marauder to the Mustang 50th celebration. In fact, about 56,000 of us will be in Charlotte.

I'll keep an eye peeled for your Marauder.

Thanks L.Mark !!!

This seems like a great group. I'm as fun loving as they come..but it's been my past expierences at other sites that ego's and over inflated values of ones senses of humor can wreck a well intended thread time after time. I believe they call it Trolling?

Honestly , nothing gives me the same satisfaction as the love of some truely great cars and others to banter with about them.

I got hooked in the 60's when I was a kid...it was matchbox cars , models and then my first NASCAR race in 1969. The Torino and Cyclone's sunk it's hooks into me and has never let go. The Marauder purchase has only slightly delayed a future purchase of a 1965-66 Galaxie 500 Fastback at some point. The next sticking point is finding the right Big Block , 4-Speed Galaxie that's not off the charts expensive or expensive to rebuild.

Welcome aboard! If you can, plan on attending the BOC which is in Mooresville and is on the 3rd (not 4th).

As you can see, I'm in Asheville, but am a Charlotte/Concord native and have family that lives 2 miles from CMS that I visit every other month.

If you are planning on being in my neck of the woods, give me a holler. Hope to meet you at the BOC.

Welcome!

I would love to see photos of your stock Torino. My parents had a 68 and I have fond memories of that car.

Hello,

I purchased my marauder at the end of january from an Older guy in Pawleys Island SC. Nothing major has been done, new rear end, K&N cone and a few other small things. The car is in awesome shape. interior is great, paint and body is immaculate. I didnt like that the guy had the wheels painted black, as as time passed that look has really grown on me. I get complements on the car everywhere i go. I work in mooresville nc so I am around quite a few nascar guys on a daily basis and they always joke around about buying the car from me. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Edsel Ford (grandson or great grandson) at my job and the first thing he asked everyone was "who has the Marauder?" I thought that was pretty cool. I just booked my hotel for the nite of June 7th in concord. Hope to see you guys there. Also hope to meet some of you local marauder guys as well.

Hello to all MM.net members, especially those in the Carolinas as I’m located in Charlotte; during the rare times I’m actually home! Was a member many years ago but my membership was cancelled, perhaps due to disuse? Anyway, I’ve lurked here forever as I’ve always loved the Marauder but was never in the position to get the one I wanted.

I’m on my 2nd Mustang GT (2005) as I totaled my 1st one (1998) several years back. Current car has around 17k original miles; bought it from the original owner back in 2011 with 6k original miles. Hoping to add a well maintained Marauder to my collection at some point.

I was, at first, rejected by the board staff as my ip didn’t come close to matching any Charlotte ip. They now understand I travel widely and extensively for employment - in Canada at the moment. Hoping to meet up with many of you at some point.

All the Best.
