I personally have not imported a car to Canada, but have thought about it. You might want to start here:

I imported a Marauder last month that I purchased in Indiana from another member of this site. I paid him via wire transfer directly into his bank account. I had the car transported by a car carrier company 1,300 miles to Houlton Maine, met the driver at a truck stop and drove the car over the border.

If you are organized and have all your paperwork ready at the border it can be very easy. Hauling a car is about $1.00 a mile driving it over the border saves money on broker fees. You can also have the car delivered right to your door by the car hauler but the cost is much higher if they have to cross the border.

My deal went perfect start to finish, patience and being organized is the key. Best damn car I have ever owned and I have only had it a month.

I haven't had to do it yet - but this company has always been great about helping me get stuff imported, and they handle cars too. Highly recommended.
