Not a bad price, and while I am a firm believer in redundancy, would the gains be that much considering we have a large "donut" magnet already in the pan?
;)

Will these fit our oil pans?
Thread pattern the same as the stock drain plug?
Anyone already have one installed & how do you like it?

Too bad it's so hard to pull the pan and clean it off. Or to install a sensor bung.

I use a magnet from Carmotorsports on the filter. Never cut the filter apart to see if it works......
I use this drain plug, have it on the wife's Charger R/T, the MM and '99 Ranger 3.0L V6.

Too bad bearing material isn't magnetic, neither are the timing chain guides.
By the time the oil pump gears break it's too late for a magnet.

Cheapest solution> buy neodymium magnets(rare earth magnets) from harbor freight. Comes in a ten pack, stick it onto the oil pan bolt.<<< done for ~$3 for a 10 pack. Chris, if you want some, ill give some to you, free ofcourse :)
couldnt find the magnets on harbor freights website, but heres another

i had a 03 chevy conversion van that had a magnetic oil pan plug. the only time i ever seen metal stuck to it was when 'iffy' lube changed my oil(too cold outside), and recommended an engine oil flush. looked like a porcupine, i said no thanks, next oil change i did myself and i found nothing again. its all a gimmick IMHO, maybe for initial startup of an engine theyre nice, but thats about it.
