View Full Version : Supercharger suggestions

I have read many a thread about different super chargers and turbo chargers and pro chargers etc. While I like the turbo (no offense zack), it's not for me. Same thing with pro chargers( but they do seem a hell of a lot easier). Many people have recommended a supercharger, such as an eaton. While a trilogy would be ideal, it isn't going to happen. I would like to keep the battery, air filter, etc, where it is. Is this even possible? Recommendations are always wanted. Thanks. :help:

Not happening unless it's a Trilogy or centri.

You can buy my centri setup (less than 2500 miles on it) ..it comes with a Marauder and I think everything to convert back to NA. It looks like I own a trilogy car now.

I'd say go procharger. Easy install. Plus I've never rode in a Eaton car, so I can't say which I like better

Awesome. Congrats.
To the OP, you have these choices:
Centri
Trilogy
Eaton
Turbo
M122 (tba)
Each one has its pros, cons, and characteristics.

I agree with Z.
Every time I read this board I want to mod.
Every time I drive the car I don't care.

Anything can be done, how much money you got?
My choices would be turbo, centrifugal, roots. Why dont i have a F/I motor? Cant afford it at this time, plus i wouldn't trust my 162k mile motor with it.

And well at the moment a whopping $30 in my wallet, so the financial situation is looking sad. But summer is coming so gears are looking affordable.

No kidding, I've been driving mine this week with the stock tune to pass emissions before eaton goes on, and I could barely stand it. Absolutely horrible. No wonder people weren't impressed with this car when it released.

You think that's bad? A couple years ago I removed my blower belt, swapped back in the 24# injectors, air box, and tune and drove it for four days to reset the monitors for emissions. Try driving forcing incoming air thru the blower and the intercooler! I'd say HALF the power of stock.

Have you taken a close look at one? This isn't your typical Honda. Put a BMW or Acura badge on it and no one would know.

Surely there's a better solution to pass emissions out by now, right? Or is your beast a special case with all the mods? ie manual transmission

I don't think Joe meant it as replace Maraduer with Honda Accord Sport model, but that the Honda could be a fun daily driver for those that don;t wish to drive the Maraduer for work etc. I'm happy for the people that choose to use theirs daily and for those that can enjoy it on nice days only or whatever.. I'm looking at getting into a late model used Subaru WRX to use as daily commuter car as soon as I get a few more ducks in a row this summer and get rid of the caprice and truck I have, but I haven't locked that in for sure yet either

Bet that some RicerTard has already done this!
I'm sure that they are nice cars, good quality, run great, ..... :blah:
But I would never buy one....
I'd hate to drive a 'one of 7 million sold' car.
Wrong wheel drive.
Road going appliance, 'what make is that?' stying....:snore:
Also seems that a vast majority of Honda (and Toyota) drivers in the DC/Baltimore area are friggin' idiots!
Totally oblivious to what is going on around them, dawdling along in the wrong lane, with a turn signal permanently on while texting.
I don't want to get lumped in with that group!
Sorry to the OP for the thread Hijack....:o

This was before the manual! And to my knowledge, no there is not. Now I'm just screwed in all directions. Hence why I registered it to a disclosed location off the grid. :D
