My car is now covered with Premium bumper-to-bumper until 2019. this is the last time I can extend it. Anyone else out there still have a factory warranty on their car?

The dealer called Ford and the answer was "We will replace any covered part. If the part is not available as OEM, they will replace with aftermarket and if aftermarket is not available, they will search salvage yards and if it is a rebuildable part, they will rebuild it and warranty it as new." Considering the parts we share with the CV PI, and the last CV rolled off the line in 21011, most parts Should be available in 2019.
Of course, I will have to wait and see, but in my mind, it is a good value for $1900. Towing, rental car, trip interruption, etc. AAA would almost cost that much and they won't repair anything.

So how often do you buy one of these contracts? Have they paid for themselves or are you in the long term red?

All in all. I am probably in the red, however, the peace of mind I get is priceless. I have used the warranty in the past 11 yrs. As the car continues to age, I think I will at least break even. To quote Dirty Harry" Do you feel lucky punk? Well do you?"

Yup I have one also. I have 2 more years on mine and if I still have the car I will try to renew it.

I bought one from the dealer, not a bumper to bumper but still the majors are covered. Just used it fo rthe axles and that nearly paid for the warrenty. Still have till 2016 or 120,000 miles...I'm @ 86,000...

I purchased my extended warranty when I got the car last year. Let's just say it's already more than paid for itself.
