I'm about to start getting my car in better shape and with that being said, there comes the task of finding the best site for replacement parts. I know some of you use Motocraft and some use Rockauto but the question is which is the better site and why?

Rockauto.

You get a discount and can select from a variety of suppliers, Motorcraft included for most parts.

I shop many places. You have to shop around if you expect to find the best deals.

In order probably the most:
Summit
Advance
Jegs
Rock auto
Tousley or Tasca Ford

So far I've been lucky enough to get my replacement parts from Ford, genuine Motorcraft. I'm trying to keep my MM as Ford as possible. In the future when parts become harder to find I would try and buy from as reputable a source as I could find.

Unless there is a compelling reason (or an upgrade from stock), I prefer to use Ford parts for service replacement kind of parts. Where you buy them is mostly cost and customer service. Rock Auto and Tasca parts are good, but there are others.

Keep in mind the factory uses the exact same BWD, Bosch, federal Mogul, National, and however many more brands that you can buy at Advance without Fords customary 900% mark up. But yes, when they also stock Motorcraft at such places, I'll spend the little extra normally, even though I'm calling my own self a sucker. :(
