Hey guys, and gals,

I have been researching UOA's (Used Oil Analysis) on Ford/Motorcraft 5W20. I know there are alot of you who change your oil at 3000-5000 mile intervals. I have noticed that some even do this with expensive full synthetic. I'm providing you guys some links to UOA's that show this oil is awesome. I'm sure some question using 5W20, 0W30, or 0W20. I have three words for ya....FLOW, FLOW, FLOW. (You'll notice I still run full synthetics, but also run extended drains of 25,000 miles, using my by-pass oil filter setup.)

Point is don't waste your money on expensive synthetics if your changing your oil every 3000-5000 miles. Motorcraft 5W20 is only 1.80 Qt at Wal Mart.

Here are the links, enjoy, and hope someone saves some money, or sleeps better tonight.

.

Believe it or not, I even agree with this statement with one caveat. Every car is different and just because these folks got excellent results with mostly 3000 mile drain intervals, anyone extending their drain interval to, or past 5000 miles needs to verify the results in your car through used oil analysis.

I have several oil analysis results from my Crown Vic I am willing to share. Anyone else have any data?

Finally I'll offer OAI kits (www.oaitesting.com) that include TBN, % Oxd, and % Nit tests (these are optional with Blackstone) to MM.net members for $19.95 delievred. This equates to about about a $5 discount and $10 less than Blackstone.

Personally, I'm waiting to read the lyrics from another old song. "Paperback Writer" by the Beatles seems appropriate here...

Mac:

Is this the part you were thinking of?

"It’s a thousand pages give or take a few,
I’ll be writing more in a week or two.
I can make it longer if you like the style;
I can change it round,
And I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer."
