Hemmings Motors News..Hemmings.com will mostly be used parts, sort of the old school of how people used to sell stuff for old cars before internet etc.. I'm not sure what is interchangeable with Marauder..It'll be a good palce to keep inmind when searching for parts that might not be new, but still good.

Learn what will interchange with the Galaxie because there are a lot of Galaxie suppliers, but not many Mercury suppliers.

The carpet will be the same as a Galaxie and you should be able to find it new. The headliner is different and will be hard to find. A Galaxie headliner will work, but will look different.
Seat frames and material are the same, but use a different patern.

I can help you with specific questions if I know what else you are looking for.

Greg Donahue in FL, and Carpenter in CO (I think) do Galaxie reproduction parts.

If he is not worried about dead on correct parts will be more plentiful. Also I have a guy that can install headliners and seat civets if he needs a hand with that.

I know the head liner, carpet, and front seat are going to have to be redone. The dash and panel is all there but the dash is cracked and split and panel looks very old. Not sure if there is a way to restore the panel or do you have to try and find an old new one or replica of some sort. Before I started doing machinist work I did commercial floor covering so I'm confident I can do the carpet myself. Havent got a clue on how to do head liners though. All these things are pretty far down the road though, not doing anything else till all the engine and other mechanical issues are taken care of. I guess just more or less trying to get a rough idea of what all this is gonna cost start to finish. I was told a good paint job runs about three thousand, is that true or can you find something good cheaper in GA? Also was told to re-chrome bumpers are about 450 each? Already found a trunk liner repro for 100 bucks and have the original jack that came with the car so have already sand blasted and repainted those items. I appreciate all the advice though, you guys awesome. Be back in touch soon.

I'm assuming this car gets carpet that you cut to fit and then glue down and not a mold of some sort?

If you don't want to end up putting more money in it than it's worth you should probably quit now. If you want to have a lot of fun in a car that will turn lots of heads and generate lots of conversation then you found the right car. There are ways to keep your costs down.

Doing work yourself is big, if you have, or can learn the skills. Lots of us learned while doing.
I bought several parts cars along the way. A couple of them were even used as daily drivers before stripping them bare.
Some things will have to be hired out. I hired my body/paint and having my seat redone. Also had my radio fixed.
If you don't need to keep it original it will keep your costs down. You won't need to seek out those special parts.
If you're in no hurry it will help spread the cost out. Drive it for a while before getting it painted, etc.

Total costs will vary based on all of these factors, but your body and paint work will likey be your biggest costs, several thousand. An engine will also cost into the thousands.

ACC should be able to get you a per-cut and molded kit.
