Hey guys, I been MIA for awhile. Got surgery on my hip and may need to do the other side soon. The benefits of aging huh.
Figured I'd share my build with you all.

I started by selling my 19,500 mile stock motor to MercuryED who still owes me money on it and from what I hear still owes other people money also.

I went with a MMR 1000 Boss 302 5.0 stroked to a 5.3L
Then chose the Vortech JT trim s/c.

Let me tell you on motor alone this baby gets it done. I'm already blowing doors off mustangs before I even hit boost.

We're getting plenty of fuel with the custom fuel setup thanks to Landy and Zack.
BGG Performance supplied their Billet 8-rib pulley setup along with a 10% over balancer.
After a break-in period it made 580 hp on 13 lbs boost. Very conservative for a while then I'll pulley down to get closer to 650hp. My goal was to run 93 octane and nothing else. So the 650 number I believe is achievable once we pulley down from the 3.12 pulley to a 2.75. We should be closer to 18-20 lbs boost.

Big thanks to the support and info for this build
Landy
Zack
Dave at BGG peformance
Allan at Procoat
Tony at Tuners INC

Right now I sit with 21,000 miles on the body
And 2,000 miles on the stroker.
And a lot of blood sweat and tears.

I'm working a parts list from the build, for now hwere is a link with a few pics from photobucket.
Thanks for checking it out guys.

Very nice! I have a very similar setup minus the JT Trim. What compression did you go with? Any head work or cams? Stock exhaust? Just curious to see; too bad a JT Trim is a no go for me. Maybe a strim upgraded to a T trim to keep the carb EO number. Congrats on the 580HP!

My maruder has upgraded from an SQ-trim to a T-trim & a few years ago I finally installed the JT-trim... I believe the JT-trim is the correct choice for you. Its a great centri... The power & efficiency curve(s) are better for a high performance street driven marauder when compared to the similar YSI-trim (seems to be more drag curves)

I'm glad you are having a great motoring experience.
Just as an FYI my motor is a re-BUILT version of the stock motor stroked to 5.0L. It has forged internals( fully balanced), ceramic on piston tops, & anti friction of piston skirts... an oversized froozenboost air-water intercooler setup, blow thru MAF, 2 GT fuel pumps, the bypass valve is piped back to the inlet of the Centri, SCT pro-racer & much else...

When it was dyno tuned by John Lund with everything on vehicle the same but using the T-trim I was getting 623RWHP & 618RWTQ. (93 octane)
My tune was tweaked to accommodate the new JT-trim install.
I hope to get it back on the dyno for John Lund to work his magic again...
I am told with just the T-trim to JT-trim upgrade I should easily see a 50 HP increase. (JT-trim just passes so much more CFM with same boost PSI)
Thus, I would expect you can tune your & centri combo to 650-700rwhp.
700rwhp is my goal. My marauder is driven daily & is very streetable... & one hell of a fun time when u get on the GO pedal...

Wow your numbers were awesome on that setup. Maybe my final expectations can be raised considering your experience. Thanks for the input.

I still wanted to get the watts link setup but am still not sold on the difference. I', probably going next month to pulley s/c down and push it to 18lbs boost. Based on the numbers we should get 650hp easy with plenty of fuel. All on 93 octane!
After that she'll be done. I remember er when the 450hp range was exciting. This is a whole new rush.

How did things turn out? Did you end up going with a smaller pulley?
