I have this annoying squeak from the front of my car when i hit a bump or bumps.. it also makes the noise if the car is parked and i shut the door. Because of the later i ruled out suspension but i cant pin point it. Anyone have a similar issue?

Try reading thru this thread and get the side to side hood bumper/isolaters that are circled..They are avail. fromford for under $10 or go to junkyard and pull em off yourself..that's what I did.

Could also be (?) control arm bushings.
If so ... Spray the hell-out-of 'em with silicone spray. *While you're down there also spray the sway bar bushings.

I had a squeak going over bumps as well ... was absolutely convinced it was suspension.
It was the hood squeak. For $10, it was the cheapest and only solution I needed.

Lubricate the latch good and it will go away......the isolators help but the squeak is the latch itself!!:argue:

+1 sorta... I replaced the hood striker on mine to eliminate the squeak. There was actually a notch worn into the striker causing it to move about and make noise.

+1, replace the striker and add isolators. Grease is a bandaid.

I have a squeak that seems to come from the glove compartment area.

go to the pick and pull and find them yourself..the same from crown, vics, towncars, regular marquis..year doesn't really matter..If I knew where I had them in my house, I have a few pair left, courtesy of my local pick n pull.

ill spend more in gas to get to the pick n pull than my pops can get them for at the dealer (hes got a repair shop). my local pick a part is 40 miles away and its been very bare... there used to be 20 g-bodies...not a 1 to be found now.

I replaced the striker and added isolators but still needed to lubricate the mechanism but NOT with grease.......use light oil or spray silicone as grease will attract sand and debris which will compound the problem!!:mad2:
Just spray it at oil changes and you'll not hear it again!!
BTW, I have had 4 CV's and they all did it too!!

ok I had the same issue checked everything on the front end. I finally found out what it was and it was a easy 15 minute fix. My front fender mounting bolts while tight were not as tight as I would like. the main ones are the rear bolts they are behind the inner fender I gave them a good 1/2 turn and, no issues with squeaks since.
