You can install a bigger filter.
Use a Motorcraft – FG800A (larger than stock, use hose clamp to secure it to stock bracket after you bend the bracket a bit)
Might want to get the locks for the fittings also.

Just wait until you have to replace the filter. There is no direct replacement for that filter, it has to be modified. I tried to get another one from Travis but he kept asking for a pic of the filter to see which one it was...
I did my own research and found out what vehicle it was for and modified it myself.

It's just a plain old filter with tubes stuck on each end. What vehicle is it for?

Changing it out threw 2 codes I had to clear with my Xcal.

IIRC the last filter I bought (for the OE lines) was a 3" for an '05 E250 or F250. Start there, that should be close. Other than that, just flare the ends a tad. Certainly not a big deal.
Or upgrade your line like I did with -8 and have your choice of many different styles and locations. Plus most filters then are cleanable.
