every once in a while I get some belt squeak upon morning start-up, mostly when it's cold and /or damp. I removed belt, all idlers feel good. I do get some 'rub' on the ac pulley, sounds like less than perfect parallelism between the clutch. This could be source of the squeak. Experience/thoughts??
And the water pump has maybe .010" axial movement, normal??

I have a Goodyear gatorback and it sometimes squeaks on start up, when there is a lot of condensation. Try replacing the belt first, thats easiest and quickest way. Before i replaced my belt, it would squeak at WOT pulls shifting into different gears....thats a tell tale sign of a worn out/stretched belt.
