Will be replacing mine this evening, of course the instructions I got didn't mention how to deflate/vent the air that is in the springs currently.

What's the easiest way to deflate the air springs?

pop the line off going to the compressor and start the car like normal, once the compressor kicks on the solenoids on the bags will open and the air will coem out of the line just make sure when its bottomed out to cut off the switch in the trunk or the pump will continue to run...

Had to cycle the system about 10 times but it worked, thanks!

Next time just pull the solenoid clip on top of the bag and rotate the solenoid 1/4 turn till it stops. It will pop out slightly and release the air safely. Then rotate another 1/4 turn to remove.

A knife is probably the easiest!

For someone doing this in the future the easy way to do it is to support the vehicle by the frame, drop the axle then close the doors and trunk. Once you hear the venting stop you can turn off the switch and then proceed with removing the solenoid. To do that remove the clip rotate the solenoid until it reaches the stop and then pull it to the next stop. Once the air stops venting the finish removing the solenoid by turning it to the next stop and then pulling it out.
