What do you do if you want the stainless works exhaust system but only want to use their headers, cats, piping, but don't want their mufflers or 3" tips. I already have aero turbines and 4" tips. I feel like I'm paying for extra stuff I don't need.
Do some only get the headers or headers with cats and get the piping custom made because I doubt SW will give me a deduction if I tell me I don't want those two pieces.
I guess I want their piping because its 3" and bigger means better air flow.

Buy the headers or headers with lead catted pipes and then have a local exhaust/muffler shop fab up the rest.

Exactly, we set this up for people all the time.

I sold the POS tips for $150 in one day! I highly doubt they would take that much off.

Probably cheaper to buy some Magnaflow 200-cell cats and have them added with the mid-pipe fab work than what it cost difference is between headers and headers with lead catted pipes.

It probably will be cheaper to buy the Magnaflow cats. Any one know a good place to buy them? I guess I need 3" inlet/outlet.

Thanks for the info guys. I think im going with the headers and cats because that way i wont have to cut and weld to fit existing factory lead pipes. And I will get a shop to custom fit 3" piping.
Do I need to pay someone $600-$700 for a tune after. I just paid someone to dyno tune the marauder with the supercharger. If that's the case I wish I installed them before!!!

If you want the FULL power benefit of them and to keep your AFR in check then yes it would be a wise idea.

What is AFR? Holy cow that's so stupid! So after exhaust installed I have to get the tune done right away? My problem is I'm in Canada and it was impossible to get someone to tune it, only about 200 marauders in the country and little experience with them. It was left at shops for months. They thought my trans was bad, computer wasn't good, injectors, etc... I had to drive to Detroit (not that bad 4 hrs away) to get it tuned, ridiculous! I will look for another shop again, then if that's what I have to do.

You dont need 3" exhaust
I am talking about 3" piping vs the factory. Doesn't that get swapped for bigger pipes.
Are you talking about exhaust tips? I have factory tips and 4" tips for later.I wouldn't get 3" exhaust tips

I can give you some of the best pricing on the SW stuff and you will need a tune if you do headers or you will get a CEL. I can supply you with a tune as well if you'd like.

Damn so that's why my CEL came on?!?!?!??
I thought you didn't need a tune if you just installed the headers ...well I actually installed an entire new exhaust but still..
I just had my engine codes read and they told me at the shop that I need to replace my Cats and O2 sensor!
I need to scrape some coin up fast and get my tune and gears installed fast!

Autozone...my car was throwing 3 different codes

PO430

Took it to a shop and they said it's more than likely the cats and O2 sensor...
