Did some searching and couldn't find anything.

My question is do the axles have to be completely removed to change wheels studs? Or can they be loosened a little to allow enough room for the stud to be replaced?

The reason I'm asking is because the last two times I've taken off the rear wheels, one of the studs on each side had to be rethreaded before i could put the lug nuts back on and i would rather replace them now the possibly shear off a stud,

Thanks!

No removal needed.

Don't know how you'd loosen an axle.

Having just replaced two wheel studs today, I can tell you...no you do not need to remove axle.

Position the wheel stud you want to remove directly in line with where the actuator is. With the actuator moved to the side you will have just enough clearance to get it out.
