NJ Residents -
I found that "Collector Vehicles" can be exempt from NJ Inspection.
The car has to be proven to be a limited production vehicle (no problem here) and only be driven 3000 miles/year.
With this, you get a special inspection sticker and only have to present to inspection to validate that you haven't exceeded the mileage - No OBD connection, no unsupported codes, never again having to return the car to stock every two years.
I sent in the completed form, pictures of the car (front/rear/sides/interior/engine/trunk), a copy of my certificate from Ford, copy of insurance card to Trenton and within 2 weeks got a letter back accepting my application.
Now, I only have to take the letter to the DMV with $25 to get a voucher that I can take to an inspection station to document my mileage and get the Collector Vehicle inspection sticker.
Then, only return to validate mileage.
I think that I've seen this in other states but wanted to share.
