Soooo... After putting my rebuilt engine back in, I found some exhaust leaks that were getting worse as time went on. I thought it was from reusing the original gaskets (that were in decent condition). I removed the FRPP shorties and found more cracks AGAIN! My previous welds actually held up fine. Installed Kooks headers, lost a lot of skin on this, then figured I'd fire her up to see how many neighbors I could piss off and choke with firewall insulation. :D

I think you should just leave it open header.

Why Kooks and not SW?

I'm one of the few on my street that get along with the popo. :)

You just gained another 30-40 HP for sure... Sounds good, I'm sure it's louder in person.

If that were true, I now need a roll cage... I'm thinking less, but, anything is better. We'll see! :D

Weather permitting!

Sundays weather at LVD will be sunny and in the 70's.We plan on having both race cars running.Bill, what you need is SW long tubes with Dynamax race mufflers.

Weather looks great so far! Woohoo! I have less of a chance of getting kicked at LVD than NED if I'm running too quick. I'd end up having fun no matter what. Spectating is fun too!

Are you guys going to LVD this Sunday?
YES! You going? I can bring "The Tool". :D

How long is the drive for you racer?
2.5 hrs... if the wife were going. I think it's 30 minutes.

Should be about 2 for me, but, hopefully there won't be a lot of traffic.

Just registered. I would have liked my first time on the drag strip on a test and tune day but what ya gonna do. Maybe I can beat a old boat muscle car.

Get there when the gates open. Everyone gets T&T runs before the eliminations start.

The reason I asked, BIll, is because Jake (silver '03Cobra) is having a cookout this Sunday, so I guess he is not running LVD. That kid lives to race I was surprised lol

Bill it sounds like it's idling a little rough. Send it to me and I'll fix it for you. :D

Should I mix a little 110 with 93 or is that a big no no with a stock tune?

That's an absolute waste without a tune. The higher octane has a higher detonation threshold than 93 and allows you to advance the ignition timing. This is what allows a gain in hp. I use MS109 when I use race fuel. The 110 is leaded and will damage O2 sensors/Cats.
