For whatever reason the air compressor has not cut back on after I got out the car with it running, so the car is sitting like a 02 Deville and riding like a seesaw...it really sucks

Arnott Industries has a new compressor and a 10% off coupon this weekend.

Well found out today that I actually didn't need a new air ride system, the ground connector on the watts link just came a loose somehow, snapped it back on and good to go!! Upon further investigation however lol I found my squeaky mattress problem, its the drivers rear shock bushing(s). So in the market for some rear shocks, what should I go with? Ideas??

KYB 555603 for cheap, Penske if you want the best.

Since you are the only member to ever use "Penske" shocks on a Marauder i hardly think you can say its the best! at this point its just one mans opinion ,and that being yours.

Certainly a more valid opinion than comments from someone who has never used them :D

I have used the OEM Tokico when they were new enough to work well, KYB, and Penske.

LOL! my point is simple, they cannot be called the "best" until a majority ,or at least more members than your self give the penske a try/ thumbs up!

You don't see the logical flaw here ^^ ?

Hell the flaw is you are the only one to use penske shocks on a Marauder, and want to self proclaim them the "best" but ok bud, they are the best if "you" say so!:soap:

Sounds like it. That one is the best.

Ok so that's what that is....well it also keeps popping off, did again to me today so I reconnected it and cut the air ride off once it reached max height. This is my temporary fix until I find a way to make it stay on permanently. Something must have broke off for the connection to be that loose but I can't tell bcuz its a b***h tryn to get close enough to get a good look at the piece while laying on the ground.

And yea I've heard of Kyb, never heard of penske shocks tho...I'll look em up

So do you mean the electrical connector or the mechanical linkage? If you mean the linkage, that's fairly common...Mary's car had that issue because the sensor was bound up and forced the linkage to pop off. It should operate smoothly with little effort.

If it's the sensor at fault, they are not cheap, but tascaparts has them...I can't find it on Rock Auto's site, though. Unfortunately the linkage is not available separately, although the new sensor comes with one.

I'd take a picture and post it if I knew how but I think it is the mechanical linkage bcuz I do not see any wires. Just a short rod that connects onto something that looks like a small knuckle/ball type thing.

I also see some shocks on rockauto. Motorcrafts for about $90 apiece and KYB "performance" shocks for about $60 apiece......

Just a short rod that connects onto something that looks like a small knuckle/ball type thing. Yep, that's the linkage. Disconnect one end and see if the sensor arm rotates smoothly and easily...if it doesn't, you need a new ride-height sensor. If it does move OK, then disconnect both ends of the linkage and see if the spring clips can be tightened to keep them from popping off.
