Only 10 more days until the Big Show at Carlisle. Its time to start putting together your packing list of items "Not to Forget" .....

Here are some suggestions ....

Showfield Sticker (upper driver's side windshield)
Carlisle Letter (you will need this to pick up your Goody Bag)
EZ Up Tents or other canopy type tents (shade is a good thing)
Folding Chairs (2)
Camera (with charger or extra batteries)
Large or Small coolers (with ice and drinks)
Bags of ice (available at most gas stations or convenience stores along Rte 11)
Food Items to share at the BBQ/Picnic (i.e. meats, drinks, snacks, salads, deserts, cookies, etc.)
Cleaning supplies (i.e. absorber, detailer spray, tire shine, windex, paper towels, etc.)
Micro fiber towels
California duster or similar
Hats or Visors
Sunscreen (you won't regret this at all)
Rain Gear (umbrella, windbreaker) -- it might happen and has before :(

..... and we'll also bring our canopy

Just picked up a 10x10 instant pop up canopy for shade and potential r word protection.

Pop up canopy...? I'll bring it.

That is 7 so far by my count. Thanks All !!! The more the merrier.

Space is not a problem since there is a wide strip between the rows of cars. Some just bump up next to the main Carlisle tent and basically expand its footprint.

Don't forget to bring your camera and its charger (or extra batteries). Lots of photo opportunities around the showfield. With 110 years of Ford and 50 years of Mustangs on display, you will see some excellent examples of FoMoCo products over the years and some of the best "Classics" ever made.

^^^What Charlie said. Plus we may have a record Club participation and the largest number of Marauders at Carlisle this year.

Hey Charlie: Should those of us that have them bring the FRS two-way radios?

No harm in bringing them; but not much opportunity for convoys unless the gang travelling from the Central Hotel in Harrisburg uses the FRS enroute to the showfield. I have brought mine along in the past but have not really used them too much at all. I rely on cellphone on and around the showfield itself.

so I have some free time Saturday to show up. Its kind of a spur of the moment. Is it to late to be able to park with the rest of the MMs?

so I have some free time Saturday to show up. Its kind of a spur of the moment. Is it to late to be able to park with the rest of the MMs? No, not at all. Just stop in at the carlisle registration office located at Gate 3 and be sure to specify MercuryMarauder.net as your car club. They'll give you a sticker for the windshield. Slap it on and drive up the hill on your left. We'll all be glad to see you! Get there by noon and we'll feed you, too.

You will have to stop and register at Gate #3 and get a showfield sticker for your windshield. Make sure that you list your club as "MercuryMarauder.Net". There are two classes for the 2003-2004 MMs. Class 200 for Stock/NA or Class 201 for Modified/SC. We'll be in the BLUE SHOWFIELD area at the top of the hill. See you an Saturday.

The National Weather Service is calling for very sunny and 81 degrees on Saturday. Sounds like a perfect day to have a car show. In addition to the Sangria, I'll bring the aloe for our sunburns. A reminder, I'm also bringing a two burner Coleman stove with an 11 lb Propane tank. No way we will run out! The tank has a tower with three fittings for multiple gas appliances. (two gas grills and a stove?)

The whole weekend is shaping up to be very nice. Sunny or Partly Cloudy with temps 77*F to 84*F for the 3-day period. Saturday may even be the best day.
