Is there a diagram anywhere of how to hook it all up? How labor intensive is it?

Try this: http://www.thechicagogarage.com/forum/marauder-tech/117121-my-5-8-cooling-mod.html. $60 is a good price on this !

The best way to hook it up is straight to the heater core. The steel pipe on the passenger side goes away and the cot gets capped or welded shut.
You need about 20 bucks worth of hoses and clamps

When I do mine I'll go straight to the heater core with the head outlet, eliminating the COT feed.

Has anyone used these caps? I might look for a welder but I think capping for now is fine.

Yep. Me, too. My foxbody is driving me nuts! Still trying to track down the gremlins! :mad2:

Should the cooling mod be done with say an On3 kit or modified COT in advance of getting boosted? Or, are they two totally unrelated things and I would only be saving one burp instead of two?

I have noticed there is a always more exhaust smoke coming out more on drive side then the passenger side exhaust tip.is this because 7&8 runn hotter?

I don't have an install thread.

I'll just list steps:
Remove Wiper Cowl
Remove upper and lower manifold.
Drain Coolant
Remove expansion plugs with a punch
Clean bores well, removing factory sealant too.

Fitting with T goes on the drivers side, the right angle fitting on the passenger.
Test fit the positioning of the fittings and decide how your connecting hose will be routed.
Lightly coat the outside of the new fittings with silicone.
To install: find a large punch, and drive the fitting in uniformly until it is flush with the cylinder head. You will need to move the punch around the fitting to get it to seat evenly.

Tee into the heater core hose closest to the passenger side. It helps to find a right angle heater hose to attach to the drivers side fitting. Just go in the hose aisle at the parts store to find one.

That about sums it up.

Every picture I've seen of these the T fitting was on the drivers side. Why is this? It seems to me it would make a neater install the other way around. Does it promote better circulation with the T on the drivers side?

Have you ever thought about making the front crossover delete parts?

Hello Zack.

I know it is late in the season, but I am trying to catch up. I do need your rear cooling kit for an N/A car, perhaps you have some inventory left over? If so, I will pay-pal the 65 bucks immediately.

Also, my cross-over pipe is shot. I am reluctant to even try, looks like rust is holding it together. Any parts on hand? Any suggestions for improvement?

Thanks, y'all be safe.

No crossover tubes but I do have a cooling mod.

You can buy a COT delete kit from ON3 performance in place of the COT, or put out a want ad.
zackmcgrath@hotmail.com is the paypal.

Lincoln Aviator? Should I or is it not necessary? It doesn't look like anything is different then the Marauder, as far as the cooling in the back of the heads. So I'm thinking I need to install one.

I need some help finding a coolant crossover line or kit etc. that takes care of the problem. I have not found any posts concerning this but then I've only searched for a few hours.

I have an 04 Marauder

Hi Zack, thanks for your input on the KVR disc replacement issue. The GT500 rotors are a great option with a little bit of shimming. Wondered if you had experience with this COT delete kit. ON 3 references the MM. Like to see a full install before I purchase. Stock plumbing is a rats nest. Tube is going blow soon. WEEPING its coolant away. Thanks, Stan

What happens after that, specifically

What happens after that, specifically

you lose compression on that cylinder, may even hit the bent valve with piston since these are interference engines. so at min. a head job.
