I'm not talking about ANYONE here, at this site. I just have a story, that I'm still trying to comprehend.

Last Friday I set up an appointment, to have new mufflers put on, on Tuesday. (Yesterday) I dropped it off before 7am, and told them I'd pick it up at 3:30. They said that wouldn't be a problem. So, I get there at 3:30, and surprise, it's not done. Mufflers are off, but nothings welded. Boss man tells me, his shipment came in late, and guy should have it done in a half hour. No big deal. I understand that s**t happens. So I wait. About 20mins later, I go to see how it's coming along. He's got the drivers side welded up, and the mufflers crooked. Now he's got the other one sitting on a stand next to it, getting ready to weld, when I notice what's wrong. He's got it on backwards. WTF! You specialize in exhausts, but you put the muffler on backwards? Needless to say, he had to fix it. Now, for the other thing. So again, these people are suppose to be specialists. The stock pipes are 2', and they got 2 1/2 mufflers. What? Instead of calling me, and telling me, that they messed up the order, or that they got the wrong parts, they cut off my mufflers. They said, they could make it work. Unbelievable!

2.5 is what all shops install.
They just expand the stock piping. That part is ok

Incompetent Mechanics:

Ask me about the malfeasance shop in Michigan called Bill Brown Ford
Where they... Hack it, Whack it, and slap it.
What a joke when I find the SD drive with images and the letter from the state of Michigan I will post it. It is an eye opener.

Don't even get me started..Finding a knowledgeable, honest.hard working mechanic that will keep his word is like finding a needle in a haystack...Had to have valve stem seals done 3 times....And the sad part is that wherever you go they're all busy...If I had to do it all over again,I'd be a mechanic...All you youngons out there,go to a good mechanic school and open a shop...Almost guaranteed success....

Here's another one. I bought 4 new tires for the Merc, and they put new valve stems in. The reason why I know they did, (Other than it saying it on my receipt.) is because one of the stems, was like two inches long! It looked like a chrome ***** hanging off my rim. They were expecting me to drive it like that!
