I picked my Marauder up today from having my new 31 Spline axles, Cobra Trac-Loc, and 4.10's installed. The guy that did the work mentioned the noise I was hearing was from the front wheel bearings. The Ford dealer said the noise was from the rear, part of the reason I did the uprade. My spider gears were chewed up and the dealer assumed that was the cause of the noise even though they rode along with me to hear it.
So just when I thought my Marauder issues were taken care of, another issue arises.
Does anyone have any feedback on replacement hub assemblies? I need to get this done before Carlisle next weekend.

Curless used a napa part to replace one of mine.

I did one about 3 months ago, it was a pain to get off due to galvanic corrosion. I used a Timken assembly from rockauto. I did it in less than 2 hours, but that included jacking the car up, removing the caliper and rotor, and at least 45 minutes of cursing.
Never had a bad one *yet*

I replaced mine at 130k miles.
Heat and hammer required.
Timken is the oem suplier for the front bearing carrier and Rock Auto has pretty good price.

I replace one of mine at 155K miles thinking the noise was from the right front.......nope!! A friend tore the old one apart and it was like new!!
My noise was the Pinion Bearing even though the noise clearly was heard in the right front!!:argue:
Fix the rear end and listen to Zack!!
