Entered the Mustang Sponsored Car Show today in the Rain! I volunteered and the original date was rained out so today was the rain date.
We had about 20 cars including 4 show cars. The rest being daily drivers.

We raised money for the local dog pound, ate barbecue and talked cars. The DJ and I knew a lot of the same people in the audiophile business. He worked at the store where I bought my first car stereo!

The Marauder got some attention and I over heard more than one person say take a look at that Marauder it runs 11 second 1/4s!

This was a first and I enjoyed myself, particularly because it was not too hot.

Rain at a car show is OK...... Levels the playing field.

I thought the same thing, they will not see all the acid rain spots in the clear coat. But when I saw them judging the cars I realized all the judges knew my car!

Where was the show. I was skeet shooting all morning in Ringwood NJ and there wasn't a cloud to be seen. What a day!

As for rainy car shows.... five years ago we had an MCA National Show in Raleigh NC. It poured for two days. As an owner, you were expected to hold the umbrella over the judges when they came to your car........

Congrats on going despite the rain and raising money for a good cause.

Personally, I have nightmares about rain at car shows.
