Well i am am a bridge that i have been procrastinating to cross, the Coolant crossover tube on an eaton swap.:mad2:
I would have loved to just but the on3 delete kit but they are no longer available...
i was wondering if anyone had any pointers on modifying this thing other than jumping off the bridge?:help:

Did you call ON3Performance (good luck with them picking up)? They were supposed to get their new batches out by now. If not, contact Gerry on here, he is in the works to get some fabbed up to go along with your brackets.

I contacted both sources neither of them will have them ready for about 2-3 weeks.

The COT sucks on our cars, it almost halted my install. What a pain.

I believe there are other cross over delete kits out there. Not sure if application will work on marauder but MMR in California has a kit . Not cheap though

I believe the MMR kit didn't account for the MM's dual sensor. More of a mustang application.

Just be patient.

Oh don't be shocked, mine will cost more than a delete kit.

If made of something other than steel, and direct fit for Eaton/dual temp senors, and stock hoses - will be worth it.

Marty modified my stock COT - I personally like it better than the on3 or even deleting idea.
After looking at it - as long as the o-ring tubes come up parallel on both heads as not to pinch the seals once welded together by the cross tube, modding it is just patience and trial fitting.
The worst part is our used COT's are usually in rough shape to cut and weld.

Modded COT can be nice when done right, I like the flexibility of the delete. Plus to me putting the thermostat before the radiator is really the better way to cool these engines. The stock 4v modular Ford remote thermostat housing is just such an unnecessary cluster of what, 5 hoses? IMHO the job can be done a lot better and a lot simpler.

;) stainless steel and two sensors.

Just wait a few weeks, they will be available again

Both are good choices worth the wait:)

I just ordered mine today. He'd been holding it for me and when I didn't get it when agreed, I figured he sold it. I called today to see when he would have more (3 -6 weeks) he told me he still had one set aside for me. I was shocked. Good guy to deal with.

Good for you. I asked this question elsewhere, but didn't get an anser. Perhaps you can explain. Besides a better "look" and solving clearance issues with a supercharger head, what are the benefits of a COT delete?

Thanks!

This isn't Gospel - but I think some prefer the changed location of thermostat and the cleaner arrangement of water hoses the kit allows.

Dude I have no clue. I am in the process of having a motor built in anticipation of my eaton swap. I rely on sound advice from some of the more experienced members here. A member here (screen name Motown) is the guy i seek out for good advice. He recommended it and everything I've read up on it positive. And the cost to have the stock cot modded wasn't going to be cheap. And the On3 kit allows for future cooling system mods, if I so choose.

I like my modded one:D
Except that it is steel, but I'll keep it from rusting ever again!

304 stainless FTW!

I am doing the rear cooling mod and feeding the heater core with it, and eliminating the 5/8 nipple from the passenger side of the tube that currently feeds it.

It's not even really about looks for me it is just returning the modular 4v cooling system arrangement back to the classic time-tested traditional cooling system arrangement that has been around since before the Model T Ford.

James Hell really should get the credit, he was the first to use the Meziere IIRC and that is what started the whole thing.
I know I have posted this here numerous times for all to read, I know it's a long thread but this maybe if people read this, they can understand the benefits of relocating the thermostat.
