What a blast today. The Marauder attendance at Carlisle reached a new level for the 2014 Carlisle All Ford Nationals. I don't think any of the other clubs can match our participation levels. The BBQ/Picnic went off very well and there was plenty of food and drink to go around. It just keeps getting better and better. Thanks to all who worked to make this event so successful and to all of the participants that make it such fun.

49 MMs on Marauder Mountain on Saturday, 7 June. The Carlisle Events photo staff got a great shot from the grandstands of our four rows.

22 Black (JPB)
13 Silver Birch (SB)
8 Dark Toreador Red (DTR)
6 Dark Blue Pearl (DBP)

Pics to follow ......

With 49 MMs on the hill, how tight was it this year? As mentioned in early threads this was going to be the biggest show ever, with 3000+ registered for All Ford his year.

Carlisle gave the Marauder group 4 rows this year so we only had 12-14 cars per row. So, we had plenty of space even though we gave up the lower one-third of the hill to the Red Showfield Mustangs. Was not a problem at all. :D

I will post a pic of the view of Marauder Mountain and post it later.

View from the Grandstand ....

Photo of the 13" by 17' poster from the Carlisle Event photographer's view of Marauder Mountain. The color is much better in person.
I took a pic inside the yellow tent and the reflection distorts the true color of the poster.

Darn....Sorry I missed the show this year!

Charlie....you forgot about the other record set this year. ...
It was the first time that I can EVER remember an All Ford Carlisle event
without at least one day of heavy rain!
Plus comfortable temperatures and low humidity for all 3 days. ...

If we can get over 50 MM next year, I'll commit to three gallons of the Red.... OR .... I could bring two gallons of the Red and one of the White Sangria. We have 363 1/4 days to decide. Something to think about........

You are right !!! Friday, Saturday and Sunday were absolutely beautiful. Temps were perfect, no humidity to speak of, and a light breeze up on the hill. It was a perfect weather weekend for a car show.

Unfortunately, some of the distance travelers on Thursday passed through those rain and storms enroute to Pennsylvania.

List of those who registered a Marauder at our Club registration table; If you were there with your Marauder but do not see your name, please post up! With your help we want to get an accurate accounting of all Marauders at Carlisle this year. If you know that someone was there but not on my list, let me know! (Looks like 5-6 are unaccounted for.) They didn't bring a Marauder? :flamer: Screw 'em they don't count!:D :P

Gordon, this list is just to count Marauders present, not the peeps, But if we were counting peeps then Mr. Man and Ladyhawke would be at the tippy top of the list. Why?? Because they are the peeps that count most of all! (At least to you and me.;))

Chris still brought a car and it was registered as a MM.net member through the Carlisle registry.

Best as I can figure ... the missing 4 registrations were whitey, Loco1234, JAYSILVER04, and DavesSVT2000. That brings the total to 49 as counted on the hill.

Made it home at 1900 tonight. Headed West after the Parade yesterday, with plans to see the Flight 93 Memorial. Got into the park but the rain, thunder and lightning prevented me from walking out to the site and the Memorial. Will go again once the Visitors Center opens. Headed northeast on Rte 99 and stayed in Danville last night. Saw a Black Marauder across the street from the hotel when leaving this morning. More rain on the ride east. Stopped at Pocono Raceway Fan Store for a few purchases. Rain and traffic continued through CT.

Tired after over 1,200 miles and a good cough from grill smoke but I wouldn't trade the time for anything!! What a great gathering and a view from above that can't be beat! The food and beverages were outstanding! If you went hungry, that's your own fault!

Loved seeing long-time friends and lots of new faces too! Many thanks to Chris, Derek, Paula, Connie and Charlie for organising and promoting such a well-attended event! GOOD TIMES!!

Not a problem. Ms. Denmark had set up a registration table and gave out lanyards, name badges, windshield cards and ballots for the MM.Net voting, and dash plaques. We were trying to match names and Marauders on the Mountain to get an accurate count.

I had the car in the car corral on Fri. morning, and had a cash deposit on it by 11am.

Saturday I did park up on the hill with everyone, but did not post any dash card or info.

Sunday I delivered the car to it's new owner in Bridgewater, NJ, and had a buddy who had followed me give me a ride home to Mass.

I told the new owner about this site, not sure if he will register or not.

And for those wondering, I got $13,750 for the car with 33,109 miles.

Nice way to sell your car. The new owners came over Friday afternoon to talk with me and some others at our club registration table asking for info on Marauders and mm.net. I gave them all our literature and a lanyard with mm.net logo, plus it turned out we had something in common. (besides Marauders) I encouraged them to sign on mm.net for the wealth of info and support... hope they will. I got an e-mail addy so might reach out and give a gentle reminder. Seemed very happy with the new toy! Thank you for letting us know more about the sale. Very much appreciated!

From the Carlisle Events website .....

"Record Show Cars and Gate Power Ford Weekend

Over 3,000 cars! Over 50,000 guests! Perfect weather! You! The 2014 Carlisle Ford Nationals broke all types of records and ultimately chimes in as the second biggest specialty show ever held at Carlisle! With the multiple numerical celebrations (20 years of the Carlisle Ford Nationals, 40 years of Carlisle Events, 50 years of the Mustang and 110 years of Ford), plus the all-new 2015 Mustang and F-150 onsite, there was a lot to see and do. As the past, present and future of the brand was showcased, your enthusiasm was on full display too. For all of this, we simply can't thank you enough and we can't wait to do it again in 2015!"

Thanks to all of the MM.Net members who were a part of this Record Breaking event this year. :2thumbs:
