When my 2004 Marauder shifts into drive I'm rolling along it acts as if it has no power and I give it a little gas it down shifts with no problem but when it gets back into drive it acts like the trans doesn't know what to do. The trans shifts fine and isn't slipping, it has 122.000 miles on it. The plugs were changed at 105,000 and this issue started at 100,000. The car runs good but I need to correct this issue.
Is it shuddering when you step on the gas?

Yes, the trans acts like it's undecided what to do when you are rolling along in drive most of the time. When this happens I make it down shift and it's ok for a while sometimes.

My F150 (same trans) did exactly this and it's come back slightly. Very common issue is the OD piston C-clip is known for large chunks to break off and become either wedged or smashed into smaller pieces and find there way into the valve body. Pretty easy process to drop the valve body, replace the clip, and thoroughly clean it.
At the same time I did mine I went ahead and replaced the Torque converter switch, the shift solenoid pack, as well as the torque converter plunger by pass valve as the first and last of those are also common to cause your problems.
Unfortunately it's back but only slightly. I could try and clean the valve body again, but I attacked it like a surgeon just 1,000 miles ago, so I think it's finally time to replace the converter itself.

I had a loss of power in OD, it was the COPS. I thought it was something tranny related too. Here were my symptoms: at around 40mph i would lightly try to accelerate and the car would just continue at the same pace until it downshifted into 3rd. The engine sounded a little muted also. I drove for ~5000 miles before someone actually told me it was the cop's. It really felt like it was tranny related. If it is youre torque converter, ive heard you can try to apply your brake at the time its doing it along with your foot still on the gas. The brakes signal will unlock the torque converter, and if the problem immediately goes away once the brakes are applied....you found your problem.

Yes, that is an old trick for figuring stall speed as well. Also a great way to smoke a converter that was on borrowed time. This also will reveal problems in the brake light switch and/or circuit.

what do you mean by "drive"? are you referring to shifter position? or the gear the transmission is in when the problem occurs? (I assume you mean 3rd gear?)
Check it for stored trouble codes, even if the CEL or OD light is NOT flashing.

I recently brought 1 cop and move it through all the plugs still has same issue, tried the brake & gas thing still did it. Do u think I should replace all the cops first before doing the tune. If so should i go with motorcraft or is a better alternative

It's shuddering and no stored fault codes. When it gets to 3rd gear or overdrive and I give it a little acceleration it shudders, like its undecided on what to do.

Could be coil packs or the converter could be in bad shape too.

O/D issue wasn't even noticeable, but I can make it do it if I make sharp turn while going into O/D. So the converter is the issue for the main O/D issue & the cops are causing the shuddering
