Just a warning to those that might be listing cars on Autotrader. If you get a text asking for engine pics or whatever and emailing them to mariemurrend65@gmail.com (mariemurrend65@gmail.com) ignore it..I sent pics and next day got email saying she will buy car at full price, its for her dad and becasue she is in conference the quickest way to pay is paypal and she will pay fees and have a transport come pick up car. I was like whoa! seemed alittle too good to be true so I googled the email addy and came up with various phone numbers associated with it but same email addy with complaints from people with the exact same story, email word for word. I'll post up copy of the email later, I got to head to work..They want your paypal id..my guess is no money will be sent but your account will be compromised.
Ill forward the info to paypal and autotrader fraud dept.

Yep it's becoming a pain in the ass to sell something,I had one guy email me offering 800.00 above asking price and just send him my paypal info and he would send money.i did the same thing and googled it and came up with paypal scams like this, they have already got I to someone's paypal and will send you funds from someone's account but once fraud has been discovered paypal takes back the money.and you are out of what ever you sold.

Different angle, same scams = fishing for your information.
All those 'I'll pay more than... for my xxx in Nigeria...send you money for shipping...', come on, really? How do people fall for that crap?

Copy of the email letter..when I searched the email address, it came up with the same word for word letter to other autotrader listers.
Stay away from any buyers that use this format, they dont want your car or whatever you are selling, they want your paypal info as much as possible. They must have a program that can fast ring up passwords and they will hack it and buy something(s)..which will just cause grief fro you to get corrected.
Thanks for the mail. I am interested in buying the vehicle and I hope
everything is in perfect condition. I'm ready to pay your asking price
but not cash in person because I'm currently in a conference and calls
are restricted at the moment and my only quickest payment option is
PayPal, its safe fast and secure and i will be responsible for the
PayPal transaction charges so you can get your expected amount. If you
don't have an account with PayPal, its pretty easy to open one,Just
log onto www.paypal.com (http://www.paypal.com/) and sign up. I hope we can make the purchase
as fast as possible? As I am buying it for my dad and I'm pretty very
sure he will love it, he's an handy man, so if there is anything that
need to be fixed in it just let me know he will handle it. I have a
mover that will come for the pick up once payment clears in your
account and he will handle the documentations and changing of
ownership on my behalf. I'll look forward to hearing from you with
the information below so that I can make the payment this morning as
soon as possible.
