4R70W - 4R75W ?

When did they switch from the 4R70W or 4R75W ? Is there a known cut-off in the production numbers ?

'03's were the 70's and '04's were the 75's but I don't know what the 300B's came with. I would think the 75's as they came with TC but I'm just guessing.

Mine is a 03 300B and I'm pretty sure it's. 4R70W

ALL 2003's were 4R70s... ALL 2004's were 4R75s

its pretty easy to tell them apart, the 4R75 has the extra speed sensor.

Mine is 300B built 11/02and has 70. The door sticker has a U under trans for a 70. I was told by local ford dealer.

ALL 2003's were 4R70s... ALL 2004's were 4R75s.

This sounds definitive - I ask because there are enough late-production '03 cars with mix-n-match '03-'04 features to make me wonder.
