I had my sponsor drive me around base last Tuesday when I landed here and there it was a black mm with black emblems.. Was very surprised to see one here, I figured I would be the only one here
Is it anyone on here? If so we should meet up at the kmcc.

I haven't been to Ramstein AFB since the Flugtag '88 airshow disaster on Sunday, 28 August 1988. Lots of US military in that area between Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl, Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Baumholder. As luck would have it, we got a late start in arriving at Ramstein and were not in the crowd when the Italian "Frecce Tricolori" planes crashed into the crowd. A few friends were there but none in the direct path of the plane, fuel, or debris. 67 spectators and 3 pilots died in that tragic accident and resulted in new rules on over-crowd maneuvers.

I assume KMCC means Kaiserslautern Military Community Club. Is the Vogelweh Club still open ??

I believe vogelweh club is still open but for army personnel only. My Mm will be on a boat for the next two months which is disappointing cause I will miss the summer driving.
Any idea who the driver is of this black marauder?

When did you drop off your car for shipment? Where ?? Bayonne, NJ ?? The wait was never more than 3-4 weeks when there were more troops in Germany/Europe. I assume pick-up is still in Bremerhaven. Ask about the "Duty Train" out of Frankfurt for the trip up.
Start working on getting your USAREUR/USAFE/European drivers license ... it'll take awhile to get studied up and tested. BTW -- don't go all crazy on the Autobahn with the MM. No matter how fast you think you are .... there is always someone faster !!!

It was dropped off in Norfolk because Baltimore told me they don't export anymore just import, I got my license last week.
And as far as I know the car will be delivered some where in Kaiserslautern

You might be able to cut a week or two (or more) off the transshipment if you pick it up at the Port ... probably at Bremerhaven.

Be careful driving during the winter over there, the roads get pretty iced over! I would get a winter beater if I were you and they are normally pretty cheap if someone is PCSing and could sell it right away. Here was my winter beater in Italy that I picked up for $500. It could be the ugliest car ever made but oh well! I didnt look like this when I got it but it gives you something to do and will keep the Marauder safe!
