If your car is turned off, wear something provocative next time you drive it

I assume you mean that the car stalls out when making hard turns. Sounds like the engine is bogging down at low idle causing it to stall out. Maybe extra load from the power steering. Check Power Steering fluid first. Then check any tire rubbing at hard turns. The engine should compensate for low RPMs unless the Idle Air Control (IAC) is fouled. Maybe someone more mechanically inclined can chime in with specifics.

Check the power steering pressure switch on the rack. It's supposed to bump up the idle speed by opening the IAC when turning at low speeds. Clean the contacts on the switch and the harness.

Wonder if this is the same issue I have had on occasion..... Mine hasn't shut off completely, but it has hesitated on several occasions at one particular intersection when I've been making a left turn. It doesn't always happen though... And I don't recall having the same issue anywhere but at this one location (which seems kind of odd).

Are you sure you don't have a GM ignition switch?
