hey gang-
I'm having a hard time searching for pictures, from posts, in reference to widen wheels/rims. Can anyone post pictures of there widen wheels on their Marauder? I think I saw them on Steve's (embassy's) car in Louisville. And from a thread started by another member, I saw jerry posted weldcraft as the business to go through for this mod, is this correct?
Thanks in advance peeps :coolman:

Here's a few pics of mine, had them done by a local rim refinishing shop (Green's).
I also had them grind and polish off weld on the inside of the rim to keep it looking smooth. There is zero problem with doing that, the structure is still stronger than stock with the additional outside weld, and it looks far better than to see an ugly weld line on the inside of the rims behind our stock chrome 5 stars.

Is there anyone here running 305's on 9.5" stock wheels? While I like the 295's I would love a wider tire. Just pondering really.

The 305s are drag radials , and wouldn't use them for street use especially in the rain/wet weather.

I used them on the street.
They lasted about 9 months of daily driving :(

Drag radials? I hope so. I was thinking some 305/?/18 street tires. Unless you all are saying that's not an option.
I'm about 4 weeks out on getting my wheels back and I'm suffering. First sunny day in a while and I can't go for a ride.

Only 9 months? Thats harsh man, especially given the fact the nt05s were about 270 a tire. When I saw yours, I was tempted to go with them but eBay had a deal on the nt555s.

Nt05's are on silver and only last because not daily driven.
555r's lasted 1 season on black because daily driven.
They do not make a 305 street tire, the 555 in a 295 are lasting and work great.

I was running MT ET Street II 305-45-18s for the last 5 years, both at the track and on the street. I just replaced them this weekend with the Nitto NT555 295-45-18s. I had them well past the wear bars. Was definitely time to change them.

So how are the Nitto's holding up as far as wear? What pressure is recommended for even wear if that's even possible

I'm currently running the NT05's on the stock rims and have been for the last 3yrs with a couples trips to the track. I do switch between my aftermarket rims and tires through out the year I have her out of storage and on how much fun / trouble I'm looking to get into.

Can't comment too much on wear as they've only been on the car for 4 days. I did leave some nice burnout tracks on Saturday, though.
Compared to the MT's it's no contest in grip. The MT is a drag radial and wins hands down. These are not. But I feel more comfortable in inclement weather with these than the MT's. Handling is also improved because the sidewall is stiffer on the Nittos compared to the MT's.

Paying more money for the spacers, expensive tires, and you may or may not like the look.

Being that I love wide rear wheels and tires, I think I'd love it, but really don't want to get into modifying anything for fitment, longer studs and such. I absolutely love this look. These may simply be 305's.

If you go 9.5" you don't need longer studs and you can fit the 305 easily. The only thing that might happen is slight rubbing on the shocks. Some people get it, others don't. I had some rubbing with the MT's that I run a 1/8" spacer with no issues since.

If they made an all season tire in 305 I'd try it

You may be out of luck because there is no 305-45-18 all season. The closest is the 295-45-18 made by Nitto and Hankook.
