Just got my SW headers in to replace my Kooks and I'm looking to install ball and socket flanges on the collectors for ease of assembly and a better seal than slip fit. I don't want to go with the flat 3 bolt collector that requires a gasket.

Planning on 3" ball and socket flanges, into 3" cats and reducing it down to 2.5" prior to the h-pipe.

Just wondering if anyone else installed a flange kit on the SWs and where you got it from. I found stainless flange kits from magnaflow and other mfgs for between $90-120 on the normal sites but was wondering if anyone know of another brand or a good website to pick them up from at a good cost.

Why would you want to eliminate the slip-fit?
That method seals perfectly with the clamps they give you.

Didn't get any clamps with the headers. Bought headers only, no mid-pipes or cats, was going to modify my existing exhaust to mate up with the SWs.

I'm planning on cutting the pipes behind the old cats, installing new 3" MBS cats with 3-2.5" reducer on the outlet and was going to install the ball flanges between the cats and headers.

Just not a huge fan of slip fit connections is all.

I will be installing V band weld on adaptors on mine. Reason being you can't remove the X pipe.

I'm doing it because my car got backed into, pushed in my exhaust and my headers got bent. Decided to upgrade to the SWs and get lower flow cats. I have MBS 100 cell counts on there now and am removing them with the Kooks 3 bolt flange.

Ill be doing this at some point, with the slip fit setup you have to pull apart the entire exhaust just to get to the cats, that makes no sense!
