Went to the New York Auto Show yesterday and I am feeling real good about my Marauder. I compared almost every one of the 1000 cars and realized the following. Being calorically challenged(somewhat big and fat), I couldn't fit into 70% of the cars without my head hitting the roof, my shoulder wedged into the door, or my knees hitting the dash or console. Take away another 25% for the ricers, **** boxes, and geriatric haulers. Take away more if you like 4 doors and V8 power. You're now left with a small group that I wouldn't mind owning. However, they start at $80,000 and even at that price, I feel that I would still get more looks than most of them. American muscle has an aura about it. Face the facts. We are driving one hot car.

P.S. Ford is getting aggressive with its car lineup. They had one of the nicest and largest displays there. The Ford GT and Mustangs stopped people in thier tracks.

Sundaydog, glad to hear you like the Marauder. Now if you don't already own one you better hurry up. They are going to stop taking orders very soon now.

Oh yea, welcome to the site.

[QUOTE=sundaydog]Went to the New York Auto Show yesterday and I am feeling real good about my Marauder.

I'm with you on that. I went to the Houston show last weekend, and the absolutely coolest thing there was seeing "my" car on display in the Lincoln/Mercury area. I'm a little disappointed with the 0-60 times and off the line grunt, but I LOVE the car!

Biggest let-down of the show was not being able to sit in the new Dodge Magnum RT. I really like that car. It's on my short list for the next ride. My MM has only been in my hands a little more than 2 mos, so I've got a little while to go before buying anything new.
