*UPDATE: I messaged Todd@TCE asking if he could help out. Awaiting response*
UPDATE 2: He is working on making me 2 lines with the appropriate bends to test fit.
UPDATE 3: The brake line is made, awaiting it to be shipped to me for test fitting
Thanks Todd!

I peered under my black car to find I have Goodridge lines installed in the stock corvette caliper port!!! Woohooo
Problem is, I have to identify the part number.
If anyone can help, please do. Otherwise I'll be doing the research ASAP

I forget what I have on my cars.
I don't even remember if they came with the Baer kit or what.
Lol fail

Once I find the number, it's a bolt-on kit.
So much win. Jerry is machining brackets as we speak

Bolt on is great. What about bleeding the abs? Where could that be done if you don't have the tool?

Zack
07-02-2014, 04:35 PM
The IDS bleed is done at the dealer or shop with the tool. I thought I needed it, but my master cylinder is the culprit of my problems. It's been replaced by the previous owner. It doesn't have a bleeder on it, prolly a cheapo unit

If the Goodridge G-Stop brake line is for a C4 Corvette then the part number is 12206 which is for front and rear ($100-130 online).

StopTech also sells a C4 Corvette front brake line kit, part number is 950.62000.

The ones for the Marauder calipers are 12342.

They are not from a vette or Marauder.

Ill make friends with a tech at goodridge and try to identify it.
If you look closely though, I made a custom type bracket where it attaches to the factory hardline.

No biggie, its the 90 degree fitting that's most important at the caliper.

Hopefully Ill get some answers or maybe Todd can duplicate them for us.

What's with the cobwebs?

Sat in storage for 2 years. Drove it home, took it apart.

Maybe I'll get to it someday

Some steel rusts, but besides just the bolts, the bottom of the shock mount and bottom coil seat, the UCA, BJ studs and the brake line and bracket. Working on cars all day long I rarely see rust that bad.

Sorry folks I had hoped to have brackets completed today but that just didn't happen :(
Workers out sick an varying departments (including the gal that runs the ship in the office) and a short work week put us behind.

Hardened bolts and washers are in and parts are 75% done

It was stored in a non-climate controlled garage for 2 years.
If you think this is bad rust, you've never owned a classic car.

I don't understand. What difference does it make TO A CAR if its in a non climate controlled garage vs a climate controlled.

Freeze, stupid hot, and worst yet, moisture. NOT good elements for anything, especially metal.

changes in temp/dewpoint will create moisture and dryness = corrosion, interior panel cracking, reactions to your cars fluids as well.

Variation in temps also cause my ba*** to go from sweating to freezing off :dunno:

I really haven't been following this so I didn't know if what you made fully worked and was just going to roll with that or have Todd use your mockup as a template to create ones.
