2003 mercury marauder in great condition overall. No mechanical problems. 98,xxx on car now will go up as it's my daily driver. Leather is in good shape. I purchased the car from the original owner who purchased it in Florida. First silver birch marauder sold in the state.

A car needing work is a harder sell when you want nearly $11k. it took me nearly 2 months to sell my 77k car with a 2000 mile old supercharger on it for $13,900 which had new brakes and tires and needed nothing. You may have to bite the bullet and bring price down to under $10k and fix the stuff wrong. Real world pricing is prolly $9-$10k in my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. I have been looking casually for a year and vertu seriously for a month now and there are several things that keep me from even thinking about this car. The problems that you list, I would think the warranty would cover. That's a warning flag to me as a potential buyer. The miles are high for the price, even with the Florida rust free car positive. It is unfortunately overpriced for a private party sale. Maybe retail at a dealer with the issues fixed it could bring 11k. Good luck with the sale.

Like I said price is not negotiable because it's what I owe. I didn't pay to have smaller components like ac covered. Clock spring is probably covered I haven't checked yet and all other major components are. Warrant is though route 66

Have you had an A/C repaired lately? It can easily be upwards of $750. It's many times not a small item. Personally I'm certified and do my own and friend's repairs.

Seems price about right, and about the same as a bunch of others in similar condition/miles. But that's also the problem, there's a bunch of others for similar prices with similar miles. In the 9-11k price range I'd probably hold out for a car that didn't need the repairs yours does.

Unless I read this wrong the car hasn't been in Florida in 10 years. Why even mention it?

Possibility of BIG repair costs with inop AC.

You need X dollars because that's what the payoff is? Who cares? Either you overpaid or put down a small down payment. Buyers don't really care about that. Live and learn.

Is it rare where you guys live to not have ac? Or is it a marauder thing because I don't even consider ac when I buy a car. And around here I am plesantly surprised if I'm buying a car and it does have ac. Our summers aren't blazing hot and only last about 3-4 moths anyway

Whoa now, YOU asked why it wasn't selling. I don't know about the others but I'm a serious buyer who will be purchasing a Marauder hopefully within the next 30 days, as soon as I find the right one. You asked what was wrong here, I gave you my honest input. I asked myself, why, of all the cars Im looking at, is this one not currently on my shopping list and there are 2 real reasons (now 3 with that little rant above)

1. It needs repairs and there are other cars for the same money not requiring repairs. Yes AC is critical to me

2. You owe money on the car which means this is going to be a more complex transaction than if you held the title free and clear.
