Set of 4 Kicker 6 x 8's from ebay, set of 4 plus the wiring harness adapters so they are truly plug n play. Must be a close out or last years models, got mine for an offer of $130.00 and it included free shipping, sound great. Search for crown vic, but these are bolt in replacement for most Fords

Crutchfield.com

you can find every speaker on crutchfield for about 20-30 bucks cheaper on all the other sites, ebay and amazon are the best for buying speakers once you narrow it down.

Kickers coax are awesome. Plus, they have a subwoofer that fits stock box. Did both Marauders awhile ago.

Anyone is an improvement over the stock speakers.

I replaced the rear speakers with Alpine type R and they're a vast improvement over stock... Now I just have to get around changing the fronts

I had mine replaced with some JBL's and put an amp on them. Replaced the rears with 6x9's. Even replaced the factory sub and it still wasn't enough for my liking. Sounded better though.

JBeezy, can you please share what did you have to modify to install 6x9 in the rear deck? i have my old Denon 3-way speakers but they dont fit into the opening. there are some adapters available but i am afraid that speakers will stick out too much and prevent rear deck lead from sitting properly. thanks in advance!

You have to cut the sheet metal. That's the only way they'll fit.

Exactly. No worries because you can't even tell simply because they are covered.
