Summit Racing Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Show, July 13

Summit Racing, Tallmadge, OH on Sunday, July 13 is having their All Ford, Lincoln, Mercury show approx. 9am to 3-5pm

FastMerc (Mark) is planning to go, I (also Mark) am planning to go, anyone else able to bring their Marauder or other FoMoCo product out and all meet up and go in together?

One possible meeting place is the Bob Evans at 2449 Gilchrist Rd in Akron. It is one exit west of the Summit Racing Exit off I-76. It is like 100-200 yards just to the NW off the exit. Gilchrist Rd. has exits both E and W. We could meet for breakfast or just meet in the lot as they have a pretty big lot. Open to other ideas or meeting places. Prolly should arrive to Summit around 8:30ish?

We have not set a time yet, but I am thinking 7:15 -7:30 depending on how leisurely a breakfast we want, and no fair you are like a minute away, maybe 2 if you get a light.:D

I saw chance of scattered showers maybe sat. late and sunday, but like 40 % so far. So hopefully not a soaker all day. Let us know breakfast plans for meeting up since you have the farthest to travel.

Weather was sketchy at best, rain all around, but somehow managed to divert away from the Summit Racing Ford show today. I'm sure the weather kept a good amount away, but as the morning progressed and weather got actually better, I would guess there ended up being 75 cars/trucks. 2mercs and I took a chance since we live nearby and both of us managed a Top 30 trophy...yes, there were less cars so odds improved, but a trophy is a trophy and I don't normally do judge shows so much, more of cruise-in participant and hang out. I'll post up more pics of some of the stuff there today.

Thanks FastMerc Mark and MartyO for the congrats. I don't remember which one won for best engine, but I think you could have taken that. They didn't have classes to sign up for, just register and everyone was judged the same and they picked based on what trophy's they had. It would have been cool to have like a Mercury class or 4 door class etc. Hard to compete against mustangs because most people like them
