Looking at buying some property on leesville lake. Never been in the area and probably buying site unseen. Just wondering if anyone has been around the area and what they think of it

Same as mercury5 said. I'm in Roanoke. Leesville lake is much smaller then Smith Mtn Lake and the water line/level can be variable. There has been a fair amount of development in the past years.

I used to frequent around Roanoke Va., actually more in Buchanan Va. Very nice out there. Beautiful seasons. A little too congested in Roanoke for me though. Buchanan is very scenic and tranquil.

Thanks for the offers for the help. My Brother in law has already been to the properties and has purchased a lot already. So he has informed me about the developement. I am just inquiring about the surrounding areas and how nice it is, is it getting built up. Everything that I have found online says it is nice. I probably wont be building on the property for at least 10 years, just planning a retirement spot on the water. From what I was told, leesville lake is pretty nice and not too big.
