View Full Version : The Trip Home (aka Dan Ride '04)
It looks like I will be making a trip from IA to CT sometime in the last week of April. There are a few details to work out and then I am en route.
I want to get some feeback from you guys about places to stop and visit on the way home. It looks like Trilogy might not be too far off the path and I have called Jerry to get pricing and availability on the TSC. I wonder if I could have it installed on the way home? <nahhhh>
Anyway, other suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

If you like planes, and have a few days to spare, don't miss the Air Force Museum. It's in Dayton OH.

There is nothing in IA. Really.
The even sadder part is that the speed limit is lower than surrounding states and we have a money-hungry state patrol, so you can't even go through the state faster to put it out of your misery.
I know the IL crew can point you to some fun stuff to do. Just kinda imagine that the Iowa part didn't happen.
Thanks,
-A
I wasn't specific enough. I am looking for hot spots to visit as they relate to Marauders and Marauder Owners. Thus the visit to Trilogy if I can work that out.
I won't be in IA for long. The car is on the eastern side and near the state line. My V1 and CB will have to guide me.
Do we have any areas along the route where there might be a concentration of MM owners? It might be a tough thing since the car is so limited but I figured I would try anyway.
Best,
Dan

If you are passing through Indy, there are a few of us there. The sheriff of Marion county and his 1st deputy both have MM's. They are on the road picking up scoff-laws.

If you are coming across Ohio via I-80 turnpike, my house is 4 miles off exit 11 mile marker 173. You are more than wlcome to stop by and visit. If this is a good stopping point for the evening, there is a wonderfull and safe Holiday Inn at this exit, and I would be honored to treat you to dinner and drinks.

Happy Marauder's any where you go!
Man 'O man I love this place:):):)
I am hoping to be done with all of the details by the end of next week and on a plance with plates and registration to IA in the early part the last week of April.
I am going to Detroit strictly for the purpose of visiting Jerry at Trilogy. To those who are in the area, we can meet there are after 5 if that works, too.
I will be able to firm up details as next week progresses.
Best,
Dan
Well, the checks went out via overnight mail. If all goes well I will be on a plane on Wednesday.
Stay tuned. Dan Ride '04 will be commencing shortly.
Best,
Dan
PS: Do ya suppose that Banana dancing guy stops when none of us are looking at him?
