So I'm driving on the Interstate, that has construction going on. Traffic was diverted to another lane , having to cross over the 'curb' from a cut/ground lane onto the exst lane. Rear wheel made contact, some noise. Now rough over 40 mph. I just had someone look at the wheels as I drove around, wheels 'look' good. Next thought is bent axle housing. If true, damn it, does anyone rebuild axle housings??

Pixxxed in VA.

I got lucky, very lucky. Driving home last night, it was smooth, so I suspect the tire bead was slightly displaced, and reseated it self. I did jack it up, let all air out (nitrogen darn it!!!) , pushed on tire to let it re-seat if it needed to. Was fine this am, same pressure. Just out of curiosity, I called State Farm, it is considered road bed collision - a covered incident.

The wheel, being billet alum, will need some sanding and polishing, but not to bad considering the large lip I had to drive over at 40 mph.



Glad you fixed it.

Unless you have aftermarket wheels, the OEM Marauder wheels are forged.
