General question. If you had $19,500.00 to have a new motor installed what one would you have? I would like it S/C'd. I am on track with saving to have 19.5k by next June.I will be keeping the original motor because of serial numbers so encase I ever sell it the MM will be all original. Thank You all in advance.:)

**Edited my original post**
$19500 can do a lot, depends onhow far you want to go..I see no real benefit insaving the original motor for serial number reasons. The block is fine to use, the internals is where it gets necessary for upgrades. Talk to Marty O. He would steer you in the right direction for your budget.

You'll be able to build motor, trans and rear end for that I would think..becasue a super built motor will need upgraded trans and rearend to handle the power. Talk with Marty O....He wont steer you wrong. They build stuff like that all the time.
i'm thinking 19,500 would not be enough for all of this

I see your side of it..i guess it depends on how far the motor was built up..so yes, it could exceed that easily.

I think unless you can do some of the work yourself $ 19,500.oo won't get it done but it would make a great ride. Just my two cents but what do I know, call Marty.

Won't get close...... any decent S/C is 5-7k, hell camshafts in mine were 2k, I didn't even have a budget, because it never would have gotten done if I had one.
Take that figure and double it, just like working on a house.......

I'd have L&M build the motor( Boss 5.0 block w/stroker and heads w/cams). Upgrade trans and rear axle. Mandrel exhaust w/ headers. Expert installation.
Money all spent without a blower. :violin:
OR
Have your stock block rebuilt, forged, stroker, heads with cams. The rest from above. Have some $ left towards a blower.
OR
Buy one already built or at least with an added blower(check the for sale forum)

Way back when I got a Ford Reman Cobra Long Block with a 3 year warranty delivered for $5,400.
I have heard of so many "custom engine builds" going BOOM!

Have around $11,000 into the setup. Reasonable offers will be considered.
