What are your thoughts on this?
Didn't have the bends to get the filter into the corner, so I ran it like this today.
IAT ran the same as normal.

Chris you can get some 4" aluminum tubing from frozen boost , and an Aluminum elbow like i did , and run a bigger air filter behind the drivers headlight.

4" is what it had. It is a 37hp restriction over nothing at all. That in the pic is a 4" to 5" 90 and 5" pipe and filter.
Does move more air through the mass air meter like this. Was going to order more parts to place were you are talking about, but...........

My concern would be the air filters location , in between the engine , and radiator its picking up warmer air , if its routed behind the drivers headlight then it can pick up cooler air.

Did a lot of stop and go driving today and also sat in the car waiting for the wife for almost 10 minutes, a/c blasting, 91 degrees outside. Highest IAT was 104 with air filter in this location!
Thinking it will stay like this.
