View Full Version : Ponies in the Park - September 28th - Separate Marauder class?

Anthony84
08-11-2014, 09:26 AM
September 28th, Ponies in the Park, Lacey, Wa.

They will separate out the Marauder from the CV/MGM into their own classes if enough show up from what I heard over on CVN.

Who's in? And who's gonna convoy up with me?

This might be something I can attend. Where's Lacey in relation to Seattle?

Anthony84

Wish there was a "like" button for that.

I have a DTR; so I suppose I'll add twenty minutes or so to the time I was given with the google map...yes, I just zinged myself...

Looking on the website and registration form, I cannot find a start time for the event?

Also the categories on the registration form includes one for Mercury Marauders. That's cool

Anthony84
08-22-2014, 01:56 PM
9 am I believe is the gate opening time per what I've read on CVN. C'mon guys; we had a killer showing at Griots...no one else wants to show off their car again in a few weeks?

Bump for more exposure. I'll register next week. I see there's an award for farthest traveled. I'll bring my VA plates and put them on when I get there

Anthony84
08-30-2014, 11:20 PM
So at this point; 3 marauders going? And let's just say three trophies per class as most car shows...looks like we all get one at this rate. Lol

Let's talk about a caravan to the show. Where do you usually meet?

I'd try; but a basically stock DTR ain't gonna get a lot of votes. Lol.

Quick reminder for folks meeting up: if you have a FRS radio, bring it. I've always found that a couple radios are crucial during a Marauder caravan/convoy. I have two that I'll bring.

Anyone else heading up to Lacey from the south end of the state?

Northerners; I want to meet up with you all before the show nearby so all the panthers can mob in like we always do. Its a more menacing, uniform approach when we are all in a line. Like we we all were leaving the car wash to get to Griots back in May...who didn't spin tires or get sideways leaving there? :burnout:

Theres no reason to hit the show right when the gates open, its usually a clutster****.

Actually that's a great point. I'd rather arrive stylishly late and in a convoy of 6 or 7 Marauders deep. Everyone will see us roll in.

What's the parking situation like at this event? Any chance of losing out on prime spots? Do they have a section dedicated for us?

For my first official show here on the West Coast, I had an absolute blast! The weather was a little chilly in the morning but cleared & warmed up by the afternoon. Got to meet up beforehand with Tyler (Logizyme), Bruce (blue03), and Craig (HeavyMetalMerc). Mauricio (PuntyMario) was running a little late so we hung out on the onramp to the freeway til he got close than we all zoomed on and caught up. 3 Black Marauders, one DBP and one grand Marquis.

As always, a Marauder caravan is never complete without a U-Turn or two, but we got to the park fashionably late and we had a lot of heads turn our way when we rolled in. We had our own category and a nice area to park. We had a lot of foot traffic.

Great to put a name with the faces and had a great time talking to Anthony (Anthony84) - DTR , BJ & Linda (Mr. & Mrs. Teamrope) - DTR,

Well deserved wins to Mrs. Teamrope for her DTR, Logizyme for his Black and Bruce for his immaculate Blue! Congrats guys!
